iDream Education launched a free learning app initiative to help underserved children in rural areas continuing their Education from homes.  The app is available in Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Oriya language. Aide et Action is partnering iDream Education in this initiative that  targets 10,000 students in a time span of one month.

Subsequently, it will be widened to reach children in urban-sub-urban and locations. The initiative comes in the wake of the lockdown triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to the closure of schools, leaving digital Education as the only choice to sustain the momentum of academics.

The launch coincides with International Girls in ICT Day, which aims to empower and motivate women to choose careers in the information and technology domain. Information Communication Technology (ICT) has proven to be a crucial enabler to Education.

The app caters to all the subjects for classes 1 to 12 with content available in the form of animated video lessons connected to real life, free activities and project making, life skills, including a rich digital book library.  ” The current times demand that we ensure an in-home digital education supplement for every student in the remotest corner of our country,” said  Puneet Goyal – Director, iDream Education.

“Learning for some of the most underprivileged children in Aide et Action Project locations across India, during the COVID-19 lockdown and beyond, has been possible because of the special features of iDream Learning App, which, among others, include the availability of content in different languages and soft-skills related content and videos. Its ability to accommodate many other features based on the emerging needs of its diverse users make the iDream Learning App suitable for school children in many other parts of the world as well,” said  Ravi Patap Singh, International Program Director – Aide et Action International.
