Lovely Professional University (LPU) Jalandhar and ETS India has signed an Institutional Memorandum of Understanding (I-MoU) with LPU for a dedicated TOEFL and GRE test centre within the university campus, poised to serve a multitude of students from the university and the neighbouring regions.

The collaboration will focus on the university’s efforts to facilitate preparation and assessment of high-stakes tests such as TOEFL® and GRE®, at LPU premises for its students. Additionally, LPU students will be supported in their TOEFL and GRE test preparation through a series of masterclasses conducted by ETS India trainers. ETS India will also conduct training programmes for LPU faculty to equip students with the skills they need to prepare for these tests. This centre in addition to being a test venue will be offering myriad resources to assist students in realizing their overseas education dreams.

Country Manager of ETS India and South Asia Mr Sachin Jain said: “Punjab has long been a beacon for students seeking global education opportunities, with many embarking on journeys to the United States and Canada. We are thrilled to collaborate with Lovely Professional University to empower their students’ dreams. Our joint efforts signify a commitment to nurturing the ambitions of LPU’s dynamic student community from across India and other countries.” He added “We are delighted that LPU will have a dedicated TOEFL and GRE test centre within the university campus. Additionally, by providing scholarships, training programs, and invaluable resources that support TOEFL and GRE preparation, ETS aspires to help students realise their dream of international higher education.” As a part of this relationship, ETS India has also announced merit scholarships worth INR 2,50,000 for LPU students.

To further enhance student access and preparation, LPU will upload TOEFL and GRE learning materials onto their Learning Management System (LMS) and explore the possibility of offering elective credits for GRE and TOEFL within their institutional credit framework across all programs.

TOEFL is the most widely accepted test worldwide with 12,000+ universities accepting the test and GRE is a comprehensive and multi-faceted examination accepted for admissions to graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs across STEM, Business, Law and other domains.

Founder Chancellor of LPU & MP Rajya Sabha, Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal said: “This tie-up with ETS perfectly aligns with our vision of offering LPU students’ exceptional avenues for academic growth and success. ETS, renowned for its unwavering commitment to credible assessments, adds immense value to this collaboration. We firmly believe that access to assessments will significantly expand global education and career opportunities for LPU students.
