The play titled The Conqueror-Ashoka the Great, nurtured skills like collaboration and problem-solving
Apeejay’s IB school, Apeejay School International (ASI), Panchsheel Park, a leading educational school in South Delhi, recently presented its annual play, The Conqueror-Ashoka the Great.
The nine scenes of the play defined the important aspects of Ashok’s life, from his childhood, the Battle of Kalinga, to realising the importance of compassion and non-violence at last. The highlight of the evening was the Battle of Kalinga which was powerfully portrayed, showing the intensity of war and how tragic it is. Through the student narrators, the play captivated the audience at every moment as they saw Ashok’s transformation unfold.
From the authentic Mauryan-style decor to the attire, the attention to detail ensured that the entire experience was immersive and captivating. As the actors took a bow, it sent a powerful message about leadership, peace, and self-reflection that resonated deeply with the audience.
This student-led activity went beyond the stage; it was a profound transition that nurtured critical skills like collaboration and problem-solving. The students embraced responsibility at every step, living the school’s core values and exemplifying the spirit of excellence and innovation that it fosters.
