Sharda University’s Annual fest “Chorus” sees Global Village program and stunning performance by Jubin Nautiyal

The annual fest of Sharda University, Greater Noida, “Chorus” themed “Carnival of Colors” this year, celebrated the richness of cultural diversity. Spread over 3-days, the spectacular carnival featured various events and an enthralling performance by Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal as a highlight.

The three-day fest included over 20 events such as debates, fashion shows, monologues, stand-up comedy performances, rap wars, open-mic shows, group dances, and more. Renowned Kathak artist Vidushi Malti Shyam also performed during the event. Following her performance, DJ Sin, Punjabi singer Dilnawaz, and Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal entertained the audience with their musical performances.

The ‘Chorus’ was inaugurated by Dr. Sibaram Khara, Vice Chancellor, Sharda University and saw participation from nearly 60 teams from various universities and colleges, engaging in a variety of competitions. The festival featured DJ and musical nights, with Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal setting the stage on fire with his mesmerizing performance. His popular tracks such as Dil Galti Kar Baitha Hai, Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, Barsaat Ki Dhun, Tum Kitna Chahen had the audience dancing and recording videos on their phones, making it a night to remember. During the Event more 100 dignitaries participated. The fest provided a platform for participants from various institutions to come together, engage in fun activities and competitions, showcase their talents, interact with peers, and gain invaluable experiences.

The main highlight of the fest was the Global Village program, which included students from 100 countries, including Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, and several African nations, showcasing popular dishes from their respective countries. Diplomats from these countries were also present to join in the celebration. More than 50,000 participants from across the world joined the proceedings of the fest online.

The Chancellor of Sharda University, Mr. P.K. Gupta, commenting on the fest success said such events bring participants from various institutions together to engage in a variety of entertainment programs and competitions. “The aim is to empower students to showcase their skills, interact with peers, and gain invaluable insights in the process. It also offers a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and fostering collaborations.” The event concluded with the Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Y.K. Gupta, awarding prizes to the winners of various competitions.
