In continuation of the Gujarat Law Society (GLS)’s 100th year commemorations, GLS University hosted its flagship international research conference GLSU-ATRPM 2026, themed ‘AI in Action’, held on April 11 in a hybrid format at its Ahmedabad campus. The conference, focused on Advances in Theory, Research & Practices in Management (ATRPM), marked the third commemorative event under the centenary initiative, ‘Shodh Shatabdi – The Research Conclave’.

The university had officially launched its year-long centenary celebrations on February 23, 2026.

A highlight of the conference was the presentation of ‘100 Research Ideas’, underscoring the institution’s commitment to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and forward-looking research. The event brought together academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence in management and business.

Research papers were presented across diverse domains, including emerging technologies, sustainability, finance and accounting, as well as entrepreneurship and start-ups. Building on its growing reputation, the conference series previously attracted over 150 research submissions, reinforcing its status as a credible academic platform.

Initiated in 2021, the GLSU-ATRPM conference series has steadily evolved into a significant forum bridging academia and industry. The 2026 edition further strengthened this vision by emphasizing actionable AI frameworks, sector-specific implementations, and responsible AI practices aimed at creating sustainable organizational value.

The inaugural session featured keynote speaker Neharika Vohra of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, who highlighted AI’s growing role in shaping managerial decision-making and leadership. The event also included multiple technical sessions.

The valedictory session was addressed by keynote speaker Suraj Kishor, former CEO of BBDO India and TeamX for Mercedes-Benz. The valedictory address was delivered by Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director of GLS University.

In her address, Dr. Kapadia emphasized the importance of moving beyond theoretical discussions toward real-world implementation. She remarked, “The theme ‘AI in Action’ is not about tools or trends; it is about application, experimentation, and execution. The true value of AI lies in its ability to amplify human thinking, not replace it. AI does not define success — the way we use AI does.”

The event was organized under the leadership of Sudhir Nanavati, President of GLS University.

The centenary year also marks 100 years of excellence for Gujarat Law Society, the parent body of the university. The celebrations were inaugurated earlier this year by Bhupendra Patel.
