With the support of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Republic of Korea, Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) has launched regular Korean language class at three schools in Delhi and Manipur.
Through the initiated project till now KCCI could reach out with the basics of Korean language to 468 students of 14 schools since July last year. As the pilot program has successfully finished, now the centre pursues and extends adoption of Korean language in CBSE curriculum.In the time of the lockdown, the regular class has started in online platform.
ASN Senior Secondary School and Greenway Modern School in Delhi opened the class with 87 students from 6th grade, three days a week. Mangal Kids School will resume its regular class after lockdown.
Kim Kum-pyoung, Director KCCI, said “We witnessed mesmerizing and passionate response from the students who took the Korean language class last year. It was the first step to adapt Korean and Hindi in the regular curriculum of each countries. I am convinced that those who learn Korean language in regular curriculum will contribute a lot in the bilateral relationship after graduation”, he added.
