His indomitable spirit in face of adversity made him grow his entrepreneurial venture from a single book-selling unit to one of India’s largest edutainment conglomerates.
Honoured with the “Publishing Icon Award” at International Publishers Congress 2018 amongst other innumerable recognitions, every year July 10 (his birth anniversary) remains a special ocassion for MBD Group family and its promoters. This year, it’s the 75th birth anniversary of their Founding Father and the most awaited annual event to celebrate the vision and values of the Group’s Founder has gone virtual owing to the Corona Virus pandemic. Like him, displaying the indomitable spirit and never-say-die attitude MBDians came together online to commemorate the MBD Group Founder’s Day. “Malhotra Ji was a visionary who always believed in making difference in the lives of the people by bringing positive changes. Keeping in mind the welfare of MBDians during the pandemic, medical insurance has been almost doubled for them. We also implemented the work-from-home strategy to safeguard the workforce during this pandemic,” said Smt. Satish Bala Malhotra, Chairperson MBD Group.
The Group started with publishing and have diversified into E-Learning, M-Learning, Skill Development, Eco-friendly Notebooks, Paper Manufacturing, ICT Infrastructure, Hospitality, Real Estate and Mall Development and Management.
