The evolution of global technological advancements has significantly influenced education policies, creating a pressing need for transformation. This shift broadens the scope of education beyond meeting just the general needs. Holistic education is seen as a cornerstone of effective learning for future in an ever-changing world.
The Need for Integrative Education
Conventional methods of teaching primarily focuses on memorizing and taking examinations which do not allow for time to build real-world problems, or the creative elements. However, the requirements have evolved from being more rational and ideally having a high emotional quotient to being more innovative, which is why globalisation and technological improvements have caused these needs to increase. Holistic education emphasises each of these elements for the learner because it recognises that education is a multifaceted process rather than a singular event.
The Shift Towards the Integrative Way of Learning
Holistic education advocates nurturing a composite learner, a poet, and a mathematician, a creator and a performer.
