Audyogik Shikshan Mandal (ASM) Group of Institutes, Pune, has a tie-up with IIM Bangalore where students get an opportunity to do a 8-week digital course IIMBx where students pursuing PGDM / MBA at ASM with get access to IIM faculty, interactive webinars and class sessions. One such batch of of PGDM / MBA students recently completed this digital course with better insights into specific subjects in HR, Finance or Marketing.

According to Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, chairman ASM, tie-up with renowned educational institutes like IIM Bangalore gives his students the flexibility to choose and pursue their career ambitions without having to physically visit the IIM campus. “We have also leveraged our reach by associating ourselves with other global educational institutes like Harvard Business School online, IBM, SAP providing holistic learning experience and industry relevant techniques for our students,” he added while feeling that distances can be bridged by technology and partnerships.

Speaking on student benefits on this partnership Prof. P D Jose, Chairman of IIMBx  said “The IIMBx ASM partnership is quite innovative in the sense that we are taking some bit of the higher IIMBx experience to schools and students who otherwise might not have access to it. It allows IIMBx to scale up its activities and work with individual schools to improve overall quality of education. Not all schools have access to same resource or faculty. This kind of collaboration effectively helps everyone to rise up. In a way, it is part of our objective to improve the overall quality management education in the country. In doing so we hope students benefit a lot more.”

Vasanthi Srinivasan, Chairperson, Digital, IIM said, “With absolute no experience, students are able to relate as to how this course will be useful to them in future. The idea of seeding managers of tomorrow starts from colleges such as ASM and they have an important role to play in the future.”
