This was the 6th edition of National Championships, and largest ever, which attracted over 1.9 lakh students from LEAP’s 800+ partner schools from all over India to register. This multi-contest competition by LEAD Group serves as a platform for students from India’s small towns and underserved regions to showcase their talent, creativity and confidence on a grand stage and moves from region to zonal and then national level over about six months.   Also, this year, the Championships introduced an expanded vision for student development, focusing on NCF-aligned 21st-century skills such as Communication, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Confidence, and Coding.

The National Championships 2024 was open to students from pre-primary to Class 9. The L’il Champs category (Nursery – Class 2) in the National Championships 2024 helped young learners build confidence, creativity, and speaking skills. Speech Champs (Junior: Classes 3-5; Senior: Classes 6-9) focused on content mastery, pronunciation, and eloquence, enabling students to articulate their ideas effectively. Coding Champs (Junior: Classes 3-5) encouraged teamwork, technical skills, and creativity through app development and problem-solving challenges. Spelling Champs (Junior: Classes 3-5; Senior: Classes 6-9) enhanced students’ grasp of the English language, boosting vocabulary and linguistic precision. Lastly, English Quiz Champs (Junior: Classes 3-5; Senior: Classes 6-9) promoted critical thinking, communication skills, and knowledge across diverse topics, ensuring holistic development for young minds.

Sumeet Mehta, CEO and Co-Founder, LEAD Group, said, “The National Championships are an incredible opportunity for students from India’s small towns and cities to make their dreams come true on a national platform. The creativity and enthusiasm of our National Champions this year was simply electrifying! From out-of-the-box ideas that bring imagination to life, to apps that solve real-world problems, our students showcased their skills with the confidence of accomplished keynote speakers! My heartiest congratulations to not just the winners, but to all the participants of National Championships 2024.  These future leaders will make our nation very proud!”
