Course on International Investment Law started at DNLU Jabalpur

Dharmashastra National Law University Jabalpur has commenced a WTO Chairs Double Credit Course Programme on International Investment Law. A special event was held on Oct 26 to start the program at the university in the distinguished presence of the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice Sujoy Paul.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Sheela Rai, Dean  & Professor of Law at NLU Odisha; Dr. Rosmy Joan, Assistant Professor at National Law University, Jodhpur; Mr. Satwik Shekhar, Senior Consultant & Assistant Professor at CTIL, IIFT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

A seminar also took place where the invited guest speakers spoke on different topics such as Introduction to International Investment session delivered by Dr. Rosmy Joan, the Schedule of Commitments delivered by Mr. Satwik Shekha, and on Expropriation within international investment law delivered by Prof. Sheela Rai. This seminar added to facilitating a comprehensive understanding of the realm of ‘International Investment’ and the pivotal role played by ‘Investors,’ with a primary focus on crucial topics such as the Schedule of Commitments and Expropriation within the context of international investment law. Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Hadli, Vice Chancellor (I/C) of DNLU by the Director of CITIL Mr. Utkarsh Mishra, Assistant Professor and entire student body of CITIL happily welcomed the guests and made the event a success.
