Anant National University, Ahmedabad is holding a multidisciplinary exhibition titled The Monsoon That Was from 9 February and will continue till 18 February 2024. The event was inaugurated by Ajay Piramal, the President of Anant National University, a visionary leader.

The exhibition features 90 panels consisting of 30 prismatic exhibits. The exhibition showcases students’ work from the last semester from all disciplines. It includes work from visual arts to products using human-centred design to “Phygital” products integrating medical devices with AI technology to scientific solutions for climate action – the exhibition epitomises the University’s pedagogy and the diverse talents emerging from various programmes.

The exhibition has curated works of students from Foundation Year, School of Architecture, School of Creative Practices and Entrepreneurship, School of Climate Action, seven majors at the School of Design – Product, Space, Interaction, Communication, Sustainable Fashion and Textiles, Moving Image and Transdisciplinary design and the flagship programme, Anant Fellowship in Sustainability and Built Environment.

Speaking about the exhibition, Dean of School of Architecture, Snehal Nagarsheth, said, “It is a great initiative that brings together academic discourses in the form of a variety of solutions. This exhibition brings together diverse ideas from multiple disciplines showcasing the wide range of design ideations of Anant’s students developed during their academic journey of the monsoon semester. Students undergo an extensive design exploration process that is guided and critiqued by expert faculty members, leading to innovative and unique design ideas. This exhibition is a collective initiative that brings to the fore the journey of a semester and appreciates their effort, motivating them to become better design-thinkers and solution-oriented individuals.”
