The International Management Institute Bhubaneswar (IMI Bhubaneswar), in collaboration with EGADE Business School Mexico, successfully organised theĀ 10th International Conference on Global Business Environment. Themed āInternational Business Diplomacy, Global Trade, and Economic Development in Developing Countries,ā the conference served as a critical platform for discourse on contemporary global challenges and opportunities.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, includingĀ Mr. Krishan Mishra, CEO, FPSB India,Ā Prof. Pratap Chandra Biswal, Director, IMI Bhubaneswar,Ā Prof. Rajagopal from EGADE Business School, Mexico, andĀ Prof. Srikanta Patnaik, Director, IIMT Bhubaneswar, alongside esteemed faculty members.
The conference brought together faculty, researchers, and students from renowned institutions worldwide, such asĀ EGADE Business School, Universidad Anahuac, Universidad Panamericana, Christ University (Bangalore), IMI New Delhi,Ā andĀ St. Johnās College (Agra). Across nine insightful technical sessions and a specialised workshop on āImproving Skills in Writing and Publishing Research Work,ā participants engaged with key topics and advanced their understanding of global business dynamics.
In his inaugural address,Ā Prof. Pratap Chandra BiswalĀ underscored the importance of addressing global challenges like political shifts in major economies and the growing impact of AI on development.
Reflecting on the conference’s significance,Ā Prof. BiswalĀ stated, āThis conference provided an invaluable platform for international collaboration, addressing critical challenges in global trade, sustainability, and economic development. Shri Krishan Mishra, during his keynote speech, advocated for a balancedĀ People, Society, and Environment (PSE)Ā approach to foster inclusive growth and resolve pressing societal and environmental issues.Ā Prof. RajagopalĀ highlighted the complex interplay of sustainability, labour, and capital, particularly in developing nations, whileĀ Prof. PatnaikĀ emphasized the transformative potential of AI in these regions.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of theĀ 9th Global Business Environment anthology, titledĀ Corporate Democracy, Open Innovation, and Growth in Developing Economies. Published byĀ Palgrave Macmillan, this Scopus-indexed collection showcases peer-reviewed research on critical global business issues.
