VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology (VNR VJIET), Hyderabad, celebrated its Graduation Day, conferring degrees to close to 1,800 graduating students as they embark on the next phase of their academic and professional journeys. The event was graced by Dr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman, Cyient Group Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Hyderabad & NIT Warangal , Dr. B. H. V. S. Narayana Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, Former Director General, Missiles & Strategic Systems (DG, MSS), DRDO and other dignitaries from Vignana Jyothi.

VNRVJIET reported an outstanding placement season, with students securing opportunities across leading multinational corporations and technology-driven enterprises. Notably, 290+ graduating students received placement offers with annual packages exceeding INR 10 lakh and the highest package being INR 65 lakhs in 2026. Leading recruiters included Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and Atlassian, among several other reputed national and international organizations. The institute attributed this achievement to its strong academic foundation, industry-aligned curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, and consistent focus on developing future-ready talent.

In a transformative shift compared to their previous years, the institute signed over 300 MoUs to provide students with access to World Class Education. Tie-ups with 10 international institutions were successful in establishing R&D centres, providing students with industry-level training. In addition, 70 industry–academic collaborations were formalized through MoUs, strengthening global partnerships and industry engagement. Furthermore, 140 academic and research laboratories were set up on campus to give students hands-on experience.

Addressing the graduating students, Dr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy, said, “The world you’re walking through today will change dramatically in the next few years. I understand your apprehensions – will AI take away jobs? Will machines replace us? Will machines be obsolete before I get a chance to use them? I heard versions like these all through my career. People earlier feared computers and the internet. However, every single wave of technology created more opportunities than destroyed it. Technology does not replace human effort. It augments it. The future belongs to people with curiosity, judgement empathy, and integrity, who pair them with AI. AI is not a threat; it is just a tool. In the new world, the most valuable asset is not what you already know, but what you continue to learn.”

Speaking on the accomplishments of the graduating batch, Dr. B Chennakesava Rao, Principal, VNRVJIET, said, “At VNRVJIET, we have always focused on nurturing professionals who possess not only technical expertise but also the values, resilience, and adaptability required to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. We are confident that our graduates will make meaningful contributions to industry, society, and the nation.

The ceremony also featured the recognition of academic excellence and student achievements across disciplines such as Waste Management, Green Energy, 3D Printing and Design, Autonomous Vehicles, and Smart Cities. Distinguished guests joined in celebrating the accomplishments of the graduating class, while students were encouraged to uphold professional ethics, embrace lifelong learning, and contribute to society through innovation and responsible leadership.
