The Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) Private Limited, on September 22 announced a partnership with Adobe, a global technology leader through innovative tools and platforms. The partnership will combine CENTA’s expertise in teacher competencies and professional development with Adobe’s global leadership in technology and design to enable educators of all subjects to create project-based, experiential and real-world learning opportunities for students using Adobe Express for Education, a digital media app designed to engage students with projects that boost learning outcomes and develop future-ready skills. This also aligns with NEP’s and CBSE’s thrust on project-based learning, design thinking and application.
The collaboration will be centered around the Adobe-CENTA Design Course and Challenge, through which teachers will be provided with free access to a highly modular year-long course integrated with Adobe Express for Education to build proficiency in creative problem-solving and AI-assisted content creation.
Teachers will build skills in creating design thinking and project-based learning activities in subjects such as science, mathematics, language, and social sciences. Further, they will have the option to compete in the national ‘Design Challenge’ on creating effective project-based learning experiences and win awards and recognition, or stay in the non-competitive track. Teachers and students can win attractive cash prizes, as well as opportunities to be recognized in CENTA’s Global showcase events. Additionally, participants will receive digital badges demonstrating their participation in this interesting course and ‘Design Challenge’.
Students from interested schools will also have the opportunity to build real-life projects using design thinking and technology tools. Students will also compete in a Design Challenge that will focus on solving real-world problems. This will be an effort to encourage students to go beyond classroom learning and develop skills in hands-on application, problem-solving and creative thinking.
The learning programme has been designed with flexibility at its core, allowing participating cohorts to pursue a mix of self-paced learning, live online support, webinars and other learning formats. Its modular structure will enable teachers and students to engage with specific skills and components based on their needs and level of interest.
Commenting on the partnership, Ramya Venkataraman, Founder & CEO, CENTA, said, “High-quality learning increasingly requires teachers and students to have opportunities to apply knowledge, solve problems and create. This is what we want to achieve through the Adobe-CENTA partnership. Together, we hope to give teachers practical tools and approaches for project-based learning, while enabling students to learn through meaningful, real-world application.”
