This event is a part of the campaign ‘Rising above Corona’ in collaboration with UNICEF India to fight against the stigma around the coronavirus and to make the path of recovery from this disease peaceful and calm. Outbreaks of communicable diseases like COVID-19 may cause fear and anxiety among people who may eventually lead to prejudices against people and communities, social isolation and stigma.
Rajeshwari Chandrasekar is the chief of the Field Office at UNICEF Maharashtra. She manages UNICEF Mumbai’s office, oversees the programme and management functions, maintains external relations with the Government as well as civil society in the best interest of children of state.
Shruti Seth will be a moderator for this event. She is an Indian actress and video jockey. Having begun her career as television show host, she gained wider recognition with her comedic roles in several television shows and the Hindi film industry.
