AICTE- Visvesvaraya Best Teacher application closes on Aug 31

Application for nomination to AICTE- Visvesvaraya Best Teacher award will close today (Aug 31). The awards (20 in all) to be given on National Teachers Day (Sep 5) recognize excellence / best practices / innovativeness of such teachers in field of technical education at national level for Degree and Diploma institutions. The Award comprises of cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- alongwith a badge and certificate of excellence to awardees.  

Regular teachers/ faculties below 55 years of age working in AICTE approved Degree level and Polytechnic institutions are eligible for nomination and only one such nomination can be made by an institute per year.

The selection is through a rigorous screening  and evaluation process that includes 360-degree feedback,  Publication of research work/ papers in high impact journals, Projects / schemes supervised, Numbers of Swayam / NITTT / ARPIT or any other online courses carried out in the year,  Contributions to Community / Community Development Activities through institutes or individually (Activities/ projects/ programmes like preserving environment, preserving culture and heritage, Clean Campus, Jal Shakti Abhiyan or any other program taken up for the community development or to address social issues at local/state/ national/ international level).
