Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University’s School of Biotechnology, has become the first Indian institution to be inducted into SPARK GLOBAL, an initiative based at Stanford University School of Medicine. This membership places Amrita University among a distinguished group of institutions committed to advancing translational research and addressing high-priority healthcare needs worldwide.

SPARK GLOBAL is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting high-impact research that translates scientific discoveries into real-world healthcare solutions. With mentorship from industry experts and scientists, SPARK GLOBAL assists academic institutions in developing projects that address critical unmet clinical needs. The program collaborates with universities and non-profit institutions globally, fostering partnerships that drive advancements in patient care.

Dr. Bipin Nair, Dean of Life Sciences at Amrita University’s School of Biotechnology, commented on the significance of this recognition: “Being part of SPARK GLOBAL is an incredible opportunity for Amrita to enhance our healthcare research capabilities and forge impactful collaborations with leading institutions worldwide.
