ApeejayStya University’s School of Management Studies (SoMS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vorphy, a unit of Learning Closet Private Limited for ‘Knowledge-Sharing’ between both institutions.  The MoU was signed by Professor Dr Sunil Kumar Roy, Dean, SoMS, ApeejayStyaUniversity (ASU), and Dr NK Teotia, Vice President and Co-Founder, Vorphy.

The engagements under this tie-up comprise guest lectures, industrial visits, workshops, seminars, training, and capacity development to give the students the required exposure and make them industry-ready. The MoU recognises that “collaboration and cooperation between themselves will promote more effective use of each of their resources and provide each of them with enhanced opportunities to become preferred and trusted partners in the area of knowledge enrichment for mutual benefit.”

This collaboration would enable the faculty and students of ASU to visit the group companies of Learning Closet. The aim is to educate and provide the required industry exposure in varied fields through their industry training programmes. In addition to this, guest lectures will be delivered by industry experts to provide further insights into the workings of the industry. Thereby, assisting students to build confidence and ensure a smooth transition from their academic life to the professional world. Also, Vorphy will help with the placement of trained students.

The involved parties would further carry out joint research activities in the field of the latest technologies or any other mutually agreed field.

Further, both the parties agreed to efficiently utilise the intellectual capabilities of their human resources by facilitating the development of a knowledge-sharing environment in line with the industry needs.

Commenting on this tie-up, Dr Sunil Roy, Dean, School Of Management Sciences, ASU said, “Closer industry linkage in management school is the key to getting enhanced entrepreneurial mind-set and better placement for the students and this is an effort in this direction.”
