Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) opened its first regional office in the national capital Delhi on Feb 14 in an forward looking decision with the objective of supporting millions of youth from Bihar, studying and working in Delhi-NCR. This regional office is located in Vikaspuri area of New Delhi and was inaugurated by Anand Kishore, Chairman, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) in a special ceremony.

On this occasion, Chairman, BSEB while expressing happiness said: “Every year lakhs of students from Bihar come to Delhi-NCR for higher education. While getting admission in the college here, they have to face problems due to mistakes in academic papers or loss of papers. Many a time they are deprived of getting admission in good colleges due to lapse of time in fetching the corrected or duplicate certificates as the same needs to be collected from Bihar. More or less the job seekers also face the same problems. In such a situation, this regional office will be very helpful for them.”

Millions of students who came to Delhi-NCR (Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad) to pursue higher education every year will be benefited from this step. They will also get the facility of collecting migration, duplicate mark sheets, alteration in certificates and certificate verification at the regional office. Not only this, millions of people working in Delhi-NCR will not have to go to Bihar for the above-mentioned works.

The opening of regional offices in the capital will also help the committee to coordinate with various educational institutions based in Delhi such as the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). In addition, this regional office will also coordinate with the maintenance of the records of students of Bihar Board in the National Academic Depository. The computer installed in this regional office is connected with the server and integrated database of BSEB to cater to the requirements.
