BITS School of Management (BITSoM), under the aegis of BITS Pilani, and the University of Durham, United Kingdom, have formally signed a strategic Engagement Agreement to promote cultural, educational, and scientific cooperation between the two premier institutions. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in expanding cross-border academic engagement, joint research, and international faculty and student mobility between India and the UK.Â
Â
Under the terms of the three-year agreement, BITSoM and Durham University will explore collaborative initiatives across agreed teaching and research disciplines. The partnership establishes a framework for the exchange of faculty members, scholars, and undergraduate and postgraduate students for academic study and collaborative research. Additionally, both institutions will participate in joint research projects, share academic resources, and host guest lectures, symposia, and academic conferences.Â
To support these joint initiatives, both universities have agreed to actively explore external funding opportunities for joint research projects, staff visits, and student mobility programs. The agreement also establishes robust protocols for data security and confidentiality, safeguarding academic and institutional information while fostering a transparent and collaborative environment.Â
