The newly incorporated BML Munjal University Engineering Entrance Examination BMUE3 is based on the JEE Mains syllabus, the online exam is secure and has anti -cheating surveillance

BML Munjal University ( Gurgaon), a Hero Group initiative has  announced BML Munjal University Engineering Entrance ( BMUE3 ), an AI driven remote proctoring examination, for aspiring engineering students in the wake of the COVID-19 situation. BMUE3 2020 is scheduled for 20th June 2020, for admission to B.Tech program in the academic session 2020-24, and will be based on the JEE Mains 2020 syllabus. The University will be accepting scores of JEE Mains 2020 and SAT, in addition to BMUE3 2020.

The exam will be conducted online, and its proctoring shall be done virtually by a live examiner, in addition to an AI-driven remote proctoring tool. There will be a verification of identification proof on the exam portal before the candidates are allowed access to take the exam. Once the students are allowed access to the exam, the designated examiner, along with an inbuilt AI system, will monitor the progress of the exam and the activities on the computer screen in real-time. In the event of any suspicious activity being identified by the proctors, they have the power to issue a warning or pause/cancel the exam.

Speaking about the entrance examination, Dr. Maneek Kumar, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology (SoET) at BMU said “ Given the various uncertainties brought about by COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to conduct our own online entrance examination, as BMU possesses the capability and technical infrastructure to do so. We are sticking strictly to the JEE Mains 2020 syllabus to ensure that no student already preparing for the entrance tests is at a disadvantage. I wish the participants all the very best.”

The duration of BMUE3 will be 2 hours, and the question paper will contain 80 MCQs, comprising Mathematics (30), Physics (25), and Chemistry (25). Each question will be followed by four options, of which one will be correct/most appropriate. Once the candidate passes the BMUE3 exam, he/she will have to appear for the personal interview based on his/her performance in the exam. BMU Selection Committee will roll out provisional offers of admission based on performance in the engineering entrance exam and personal interview. Final admission of the student is subject to conformance to the eligibility criteria laid down as per BMU policy for admission to B. Tech program for the session 2020-21.
