BVM Global School, Perungudi, managed by Veranda K-12, a Veranda Learning enterprise, successfully hosted the 3rd Tamil Nadu State-Level Children’s Chess Tournament 2026 in association with Saturangam360 Academy, which saw participation of nearly 500 young chess players from across Tamil Nadu.

The tournament featured competitions across Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, and Under-17 categories, providing a platform for young participants (Boys and Girls) to showcase their strategic thinking, concentration, and sportsmanship. A total of 175 cups, trophies, medals, and special awards were presented to recognise outstanding performances.

B. Vidya, Founder, Saturangam360 Academy said, “We are grateful to BVM Global School, Perungudi, and Veranda K-12 for their support in hosting this tournament. The enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and schools across Tamil Nadu reflects the growing popularity of chess among young learners. Such tournaments play an important role in identifying and nurturing future chess talent while instilling discipline and analytical thinking.”
