The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 results for 2026 on April 15, with overall performance showing a marginal improvement over last year. The pass percentage stood at 93.70%, slightly higher than the 93.66% recorded in 2025, reflecting steady academic outcomes across the country. A total of 24,71,777 students appeared for the examinations conducted between February and March, although exams in some Middle East centres were affected by the ongoing US–Israel–Iran conflict.

Continuing a consistent trend, girls outperformed boys once again, securing a pass percentage of 94.99% compared to 92.69% among boys, while transgender students recorded a pass rate of 87.50%. Region-wise, Trivandrum and Vijayawada emerged as the top-performing zones with an impressive 99.79% pass rate each, followed closely by Chennai at 99.58%. In Delhi, the West and East regions recorded 97.45% and 97.33% respectively, while Guwahati remained the lowest-performing region at 85.32%.

Among different categories of schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas led with a remarkable 99.57% pass rate, followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas at 99.42%. Private schools recorded a pass percentage of 93.77%, while government and government-aided schools stood at 91.43% and 91.01% respectively. Celebrating the achievement, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan described the result as a proud moment for the institution and credited students, teachers, and parents for the success.

In a tweet, KVS wrote, “Proud Moment for #KVS! With an outstanding 99.57% pass percentage, KVS shines as the highest among all institutions in the #CBSE Class X Result 2025–26. Heartiest #congratulations to students, teachers & parents for this remarkable achievement”

Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan added, “Class 10 Board Examination results marks a significant moment for students across the country. Those who have succeeded deserve commendation for their hard work, discipline and perseverance in reaching this milestone. At the same time, it is important to recognise that a single examination does not define one’s potential. Students who may not have achieved their expected results should view this as an opportunity for learning, to reassess, reflect and move forward with renewed determination. Education is a continuous journey of learning, and with sustained effort, resilience and clarity of purpose, every student has the capacity to succeed. Best wishes to all for their future endeavours.”

Schools across the country are celebrating success of students in their first major exam. “Heartiest congratulations to our Grade 10 students on their outstanding performance in the CBSE Board Examinations. Their focus, resilience, and hard work have brought laurels to the school, and we are immensely proud of each one of them. This success reflects not only academic excellence but also future-readiness and holistic development. Alongside scholastic achievements, we celebrate your growth in values, creativity, and life skills nurtured through diverse learning experiences.

I would also like to place on record my deep appreciation for our teachers, whose dedication and guidance shaped these results, and for our parents, whose constant encouragement and partnership remain invaluable.

As the students step forward to new academic pathways, we urge you to carry this spirit of inquiry and integrity. They are well-prepared for future challenges in a dynamic world. May this milestone inspire greater aspirations and continued success,” said Anju Soni, Principal, Shiv Nadar School, Noida. The school achieved 100% pass result.

“It is incredibly rewarding to witness our students reach these milestones. Their achievements are shaped by their own dedication, complemented by the guidance of our educators and the encouragement of their families. We are proud to be part of their journey and celebrate their success,” said Kavita Kerawalla, Vice-Chairperson, VIBGYOR Group of Schools. Among the top achievers, Arham Jain from VIBGYOR High, Gurugram, secured a stellar 99% in his best five subjects, exemplifying the high standards of academic excellence maintained by the Group. Students across the network demonstrated strong academic consistency, with multiple students securing outstanding scores upwards of 95%.

The SAI International Education Group also announced the exceptional performance of its students from SAI International School (SIS) and SAI International Residential School (SIRS) in the CBSE Class X Board Examinations 2026, with results declared on April 15, 2026. The Group has once again achieved 100% first-division results since inception.

Kalorex Future School, Ghatlodia achieved an impressive percentage. Principal Seema Mishra remarked, “It is truly gratifying to witness our students achieve such commendable results. Their disciplined efforts, upported by the commitment of our educators, have translated into this success. We take pride in their accomplishments and are confident that they will continue to strive for excellence in all their future pursuits.”
