GD Goenka University, in association with Paras Health, has introduced a four-year, full-time B.Sc. Nursing programme under its School of Healthcare and Allied Sciences department. The programme aims to blend academic rigour with practical clinical experience to develop the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Structured in line with the guidelines of the Haryana Nurses and Nurse-Midwives Council (HNC), the course is tailored to prepare students for diverse and dynamic healthcare environments. Paras Health, a prominent tertiary care provider with over 18 years of experience and a robust presence across North India, will serve as the clinical training partner. Students will gain hands-on experience across multiple medical specialties through Paras Health’s extensive hospital network.

The B.Sc. Nursing programme is spread across eight semesters and offers a balanced mix of foundational, core, and elective courses. It adopts a hybrid learning approach, merging theoretical instruction with practical clinical experience across hospital settings.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31 of the admission year. They should have completed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English, securing a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognised board such as AISSCE, CBSE, ICSE, SSCE, HSCE or equivalent. Students appearing for the 10+2 Science examination through the National Institute of Open Schooling with the same minimum marks are also eligible, provided they are medically fit.

Graduates of the programme will be well-positioned to pursue careers across hospitals, clinics, community health centres, nursing homes, corporate healthcare environments, pharmaceutical companies, and academic institutions. The programme also paves the way for specialisation in fields such as pediatrics, mental health, critical care, and oncology, in addition to opportunities for advanced studies like Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

With the academic leadership of GD Goenka University and the clinical expertise of Paras Health, the B.Sc. Nursing programme is set to shape skilled, compassionate, and future-ready professionals committed to elevating the standards of patient care.

“We are elated to introduce the B.Sc. Nursing programme at GD Goenka University. The programme is a testament to our dedication to excellence in healthcare education. By offering a curriculum that integrates rigorous academic training with hands-on experience, we aim to produce graduates who will lead with innovation and compassion, transforming patient care and contributing to the global healthcare community,’’ said Nipun Goenka, Managing Director of GD Goenka Group.

Dr. Kapil Garg, Director Growth & Strategy at Paras Health, highlighted the critical role of nurses in today’s healthcare landscape. “At Paras Health, we recognize the vital role nurses play in delivering comprehensive and patient-centered care. Our collaboration with GD Goenka University underscores our commitment to nurturing talent and promoting continuous learning in healthcare. We believe this program will empower students to excel in today’s dynamic clinical environment,” he said.
