The Fr. George Hess Memorial Literary Competitions 2025 conducted under the aegis of the Karnataka ICSE Schools Association and held at Greenwood High International School, Sarjapur campus, saw participation from 192 students representing 71 schools across the state bringing together some of the brightest young minds in a celebration of literary and artistic excellence.

Greenwood High students made an indelible mark with their outstanding performances across categories, earning top honours and cementing their place at the national-level finals to be held later this year. Aditi Kumar of Grade 12 emerged as First Place winner in Creative Writing, impressing judges with her originality, clarity of thought, and expressive language. Equally remarkable was the dynamic duo of Nirmanyu Kishore and Abhay Rao (Grade 12), who clinched First Place in Quiz, displaying deep knowledge and impeccable teamwork. Vivaan Kohli (Grade 7) and Aarnish Padhy (Grade 8) secured First Runners-Up in Quiz, showcasing exceptional recall and presence of mind. Saanjh Shailen Pandya (Grade 12) was recognised as Second Runner-Up in Drawing and Painting, for her evocative visual storytelling and creativity.

Reflecting on the occasion, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High International School, said: “It was an honor to have such an intellectually charged event on our grounds. Such competitions go a long way in building students’ confidence, creativity, and leadership. We are very proud of our students, whose success is a testament to both their personal hard work and the overall learning culture we aim to provide at Greenwood High”
