Hindustan International School, Padur, recently hosted the second edition of its inter-school fest, INNOWIZ 2.5, bringing together young talent and fresh ideas from across the city. Students from 12 reputed Chennai schools took part in 21 events that spanned science, technology, public speaking, performing and fine arts, and sports. The fest provided a lively platform for students to compete, collaborate, and showcase their creativity and skills across a range of disciplines.

The event was graced by Lt Gen Michael A J Fernandez, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Fernandez.

In his address, Lt. Gen. Fernandez said, “Discipline, creativity, leadership, and a clear vision in life are essential—and above all, one must value a strong spoken reputation. I commend the school for its efforts in fostering holistic development among students.”

“At Hindustan International School, we believe in nurturing not just academic excellence but also imagination, leadership, and collaborative spirit,” said Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman of Hindustan Group of Institutions. “INNOWIZ 2.5 is a reflection of that vision—where students come together to challenge themselves, express their creativity, and learn from one another. We are proud to host a platform that celebrates the talent and energy of today’s youth.”

The fest saw enthusiastic participation in events such as NeuroDrone, TED-style Talks, Brand Battle, Ignite the Floor, Symphoria (band performances), visual arts, and The Final Cut – Short Film, along with spirited football and basketball competitions. Budding innovators, speakers, artists, and athletes showcased their talents, making the day a vibrant celebration of youth potential.

A special highlight of the evening was a live performance by playback singer Praniti, who captivated the audience with her dynamic stage presence and soulful music, adding star power to the celebration.

The event concluded with a grand Valedictory Ceremony, prize distribution, and a group photo session, celebrating not just the winners, but also the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and excellence shared by students from across schools.
