IIT-Guwahati annual fest Alcheringa to be organized over four days from Jan 30-Feb 2

Alcheringa, the ‘Largest Cultural Festival of North East India’ by IIT Guwahati in its 24th incarnation will be spread over 3 days and 4 nights from Jan 30-Feb 2.  The theme of this year, Gala De Janerio, is created by combining the elements of the Carnivals arround the world, World Culture and Pop Art, Integrating them into a singular entity to bring fun and party elements to all the audience, participants and campus junta.

Rock-o-Phonix, the largest rock band competition in India, also popularly known as ‘The Holy Grail of Rock’ is part of the fest. With bands competing from all over India, this is certainly a big attraction.

North East Social Summit (NESS), a conference held over 2 days during Alcheringa, aims to tackle and bring awareness about the social, political and economic problems of North East India by means of case study competitions and round table discussions. It will be provide a confluence of the sharp minds students with the experience of experts in the concerned issue. The Policymaker is a unique and one of its kind Data visulization + Case Study Competition in India which aims to scrutinize and suggest improvements in the government policy concerning North East India.

The participants can look forward to yet another edition of The IIT Guwahati Parliamentary Debate.
