The Student Leadership event- Kaun Banega Leader (KBL) inspired by Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) was recently conducted at ABBS, bringing together enthusiastic students eager to explore leadership in action. This unique leadership event is designed to engage students in key leadership lessons based on the five exemplary leadership practices outlined in The Leadership Challenge by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner.
The focus of the event was to drive student leadership, catch them young as future leaders, build and nurture their leadership potential, and prepare them for life. Kaun Banega Leader was organized by Mr. Sumanta Banerjee, Founder & CEO of Emerge Finishing School, and facilitated by Ameeta Mehta, Executive Leadership Coach, who introduced the audience to the core leadership principles and set the stage for an interactive and enriching experience.
The presentations featured real-life leadership scenarios, challenges, empathy, resilience and courage keeping the participants and audience engaged throughout the event.
The contest saw students present their Personal Best Leadership Experience that tested their ability to inspire, lead and collaborate.

The contest was structured around five key leadership practices:
1. Model the Way – Encouraging students to lead by example.
2. Inspire a Shared Vision – Demonstrating the power of vision-driven leadership.
3. Challenge the Process– Encouraging innovation and risk-taking.
4. Enable Others to Act – Highlighting the importance of teamwork and empowerment.
5. Encourage the Heart – Recognizing and celebrating achievements.

Dr. Madhumita Chatterji, Director of PGDM, and Dr. H.R. Venkatesh, Director of MBA at ABBS, who were present admired the enthusiastic and confident young leaders—much like proud parents witnessing their children flourish.
