MAHE B’LRU INTERSCHOOL QUIZ concludes, Christ Academy team emerge winners

The MIQ (MAHE B’LRU INTERSCHOOL QUIZ), the inter-school quiz competition that brought together young minds from more than 3500 schools, came to an end on January 5, 2024, at MAHE’s Bengaluru Campus, Govindapura, Yelahanka.  The finale by quizmaster, Venkatesh S (Venky) created an atmosphere of excitement with the spirit of intellectual competition and display of teamwork and collaboration.

Hansel Riju Mathew and Varun Goyal from Christ Academy, Bengaluru emerged as winner and were awarded a grand prize of INR 1,50,000, along with trophies and recognition. Second place went to Ronit Bothra and Kushagra Om from GD Goenka Public School, Siliguri, with a prize of INR 1,00,000, while Aryan Ghosh and S Ashwanth from AMM School, Chennai secured third place and INR 50,000.

The proceedings were started by the inaugural address of Prof. (Dr.) Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MAHE Bengaluru followed by a fierce competition among 24 finalists, emerging from six distinct zones – East, Central, West, North, South and Bengaluru. It spanned a variety of academic disciplines, showcasing participants’ depth of knowledge, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work seamlessly in a team.

Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, speaking to participants said, “Thank you to everyone who took the quiz, the teachers who helped, and the organizers for making it a huge success. May this encounter spark a lifelong love of education, inquisitiveness, and teamwork. You have only just begun your quest for wisdom, and I have no doubt that every one of you has the capacity to build a more promising future”.

 Dr Raghavendra Prabhu, Deputy RegistrarMAHE, Bengaluru added the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Bengaluru, looks forward to building on the success of MIQ in the coming years. The inaugural edition has set a high standard for future editions, emphasizing MAHE Bengaluru’s commitment to academic excellence, collaboration, and innovation among students.
