Mahindra University Successfully Hosts ICETCI 2023

The 3rd International Conference on Emerging Techniques in Computational Intelligence (ICETCI 2023) concluded successfully at Mahindra University campus in Hyderabad on September 23, 2023. Attracting a diverse congregation of leading experts, scholars, and practitioners from across the globe, ICETCI 2023 served as a dynamic platform for the exchange of groundbreaking ideas and the presentation of cutting-edge research within the Computational Intelligence domain.

The conference commenced with a full day dedicated to tutorial sessions, laying the groundwork for two more days filled with stimulating discussions, keynote addresses, and technical paper presentations. This year’s lineup of luminaries featured distinguished figures such as the Guest of Honour, Prof. Anil Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman of both the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). Prof. Sahasrabuddhe shared invaluable insights on the pivotal role of innovation in academia. Adding to the status, Dr. Kota Harinarayana, Former Director General of the Tejas Program and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, delivering a keynote address that underscored the critical contribution of computational intelligence to the development of cutting-edge technologies in diverse domains, focusing particularly on the Aerospace and Agriculture sectors.

Prof. Nikhil R. Pal, renowned for his outstanding contributions to the field of Computational Intelligence and a former President of the International Computational Intelligence Society, IEEE, delivered an engaging technical talk, shedding light on the ever-evolving landscape of Computational Intelligence with special focus on the synergies with Biological Intelligence.

Reflecting on the event, Prof. Anil Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman of the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) remarked, “ICETCI 2023 was a platform for academia and industry to converge, enabling us to witness the latest advancements in Computational Intelligence. Mahindra University’s commitment to research and education is truly commendable. This conference has undoubtedly contributed towards giving an impetus to this domain.”

Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice-Chancellor of Mahindra University, expressed his delight at hosting ICETCI 2023. He stated, “Mahindra University is honored to have been the venue for ICETCI 2023, a conference that fosters innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among experts in Computational Intelligence. The success of this event is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and the vibrant research community at Mahindra University.”

ICETCI 2023 witnessed a substantial number of high-quality research paper submissions, all subjected to a rigorous peer-review process. Beyond being a platform for knowledge dissemination, the conference also fostered valuable networking opportunities and collaborative prospects among researchers, academicians, and industry experts. Attendees departed ICETCI 2023 with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of the vast potential inherent in the realm of Computational Intelligence.
