Designed as an immersive and experiential competition, the School of Commerce, NMIMS Chandigarh’s 3rd Edition of Manifest 3.0, an inter-college competition brought together 244 students from leading schools, colleges and universities across Chandigarh and the region early this week. Through its experiential format, Manifest 3.0 sought to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, allowing students to apply concepts of management, strategy and decision-making in dynamic and competitive situations.
Themed “Six Universes, One Champion”, the event featured three engaging rounds — Management Games, Escape Room and Corporate Bidding.
Each round was designed to test a distinct set of skills. Management Games challenged participants to think strategically, analyse situations and make quick decisions. Escape Room introduced an immersive problem-solving experience where participants worked together to decode clues, observe details and arrive at solutions. Corporate Bidding brought a business-oriented dimension to the competition, requiring students to evaluate opportunities, formulate strategies and make informed bidding decisions.
Adding to the distinctive character of the competition, Manifest 3.0 was structured around six thematic “universes”, creating an engaging environment that went beyond the conventional format of an inter-college competition. True to its theme, “More Than a Quiz. A Universe of Possibilities,” the event encouraged students to explore different dimensions of strategy, collaboration and decision-making.
The participation of students from diverse academic institutions created opportunities for interaction, peer learning and healthy competition. The participating institutions included GGDSD College, DAV College, Khalsa College, Shemrock School, PGGC-11, MCM DAV College, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh College of Architecture, IHM PUSA, Government Polytechnic College, Shri Guru Gobind Singh College, Plaksha University, GMSSS-32, SGGS College, Sector 26, NMIMS Mumbai and NMIMS Chandigarh, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Jyotsna Singh, Campus Director, NMIMS Chandigarh, said, “Through initiatives such as Manifest 3.0, we aim to foster an environment that encourages students to think critically, adapt to challenges and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.”
