CMR University, Bengaluru has partnered with the US-based ‘Institute of Product Leadership Inc’ to start a new MBA in Technology Management program. Designed for ‘techno-managers,’ the program is based on AI-first, technology-first, and digital-first businesses for preparing mangers for new age business growth.

“The programme equips professionals with the essential skills to navigate the evolving business landscape. Our aim is to churn out future-ready professionals for the dynamic tech business landscape,” said Jayadeep K R Reddy, Pro-Chancellor of CMR University and CEO of CMR Group of Institutions. The rise of AI and other technological advancements has fundamentally reshaped business operations and innovation. Today’s managers must possess expertise in digital ecosystems, AI-powered decision-making, and product-driven business models.

“Traditional MBA programmes have not been able to fill the lacunae. Businesses need techno-managers who can lead AI-enabled strategies, manage digital disruptions, and align technology with business growth,” said Sai Satish Vedam, Chief Executive & Product Officer at the Institute of Product Leadership.

Highlighting the global demand for techno-business professionals; Pinkesh Shah, founder & CEO of Delight Loop, tech investor and Silicon Valley executive, remarked, “India has the world’s largest pool of engineers’; yet traditional MBAs often serve as a reset point rather than leveraging their technical expertise for leadership roles. This must change.”
