Management Development Institute Gurgaon (MDI Gurgaon) has received approval from AICTE to include emlyon business school, France, as a new partner for its PGDM-IB program. This addition complements its longstanding partnership with ESCP Business School, which has been associated with the program for several years.

On May 23, 2025 MDI Gurgaon signed an agreement with emlyon business school, France that will give students of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management—International Business (PGDM-IB) programme a second credential: the Master in Management (MiM) / Programme Grande École awarded by emlyon business school.

The arrangement means that, beginning with the 2025-27 cohort, PGDM-IB students can complete part of their studies in France and graduate with both institutions’ degrees. emlyon’s  MiM is currently ranked 8th worldwide by Financial Times, and the school is among the few business schools holding the “triple crown” of EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA accreditations.

“Our students increasingly look for genuinely global learning paths,” said Professor Jyotsna, Bhatnagar, Dean Graduate Programs, MDI Gurgaon. “This partnership extends the international network we have built over three decades and gives our PGDM-IB students the chance to experience a second academic culture while earning an additional, highly respected degree.”

Isabelle Huault, Dean and President of the Executive Board emlyon business school, added: “This agreement between emlyon and MDI Gurgaon reflects on the convergence of minds and vision of the two institutions, and we aim to deepen this partnership in the realm of further academic and research collaboration(s).”

What Students Can Expect

  • Two recognised degrees: PGDM-IB from MDI Gurgaon and MiM from emlyon business school.
  • Study in two countries: Core courses in MDI Gurgaon, followed by elective course under different specializations/ tracks in Lyon campus of Emlyon Business school or in one of the five campuses of ESCP Business School in Europe, including Industry Internship project in Europe.
  • Access to both alumni networks: Opening doors to career opportunities across Europe and Asia.
  • Triple-accredited learning: Exposure to the academic standards of EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA.
