The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has signed a MoU with UEducate Global Private Limited to digitize its entire curriculum through the innovative KATBOOK format. The agreement, signed at NCERT’s headquarters in New Delhi, marks a transformational moment in making learning more inclusive, accessible, and technology-driven, in line with the vision of NEP 2020 and the Digital India Mission.

Through this partnership, NCERT’s trusted textbooks will be converted into KATBOOKs interactive digital textbooks offering immersive and multimedia-rich learning. Students will benefit from videos, animations, and simulations that bring lessons to life, while teachers will gain access to AI-powered classroom tools, translators, dictionaries, and audiobooks designed to simplify preparation and improve teaching delivery. Importantly, these resources will also be available offline, ensuring equitable access to learning across the country.

The rollout of KATBOOKs is expected to benefit over 250 million students across India, making it one of the largest EdTech deployments globally. Pilot programs will begin in select states, followed by nationwide implementation over the next 18 months.

The MoU was formalized by Mr. Aman Sharma, Secretary, NCERT, and senior officials of the council, along with Mr. Manpreet Chadha, Director of Global Strategic Partnerships at UEducate.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sarath Kakumanu, Founder and Managing Director, UEducate Global, said “This MOU marks a defining moment in our journey to reimagine Indian education. We are truly honoured to partner with NCERT in shaping the future of our classrooms. With KATBOOK, we will empower teachers, inspire students, and make learning more interactive, inclusive, multilingual, and impactful than ever before. This collaboration reflects our shared resolve to ensure that quality education reaches every child in India, no matter where they are.”
