The inauguration marked an important institutional milestone for NIEPA as the space provides wings to its working and would help NIEPA scale up its national and international programmes and enhance its academic and research capabilities. Speaking at the inauguration event, Minister of Education invoking the Sanskrit saying, ‘Shariramadyam khalu dharma sadhanam’—a healthy body is essential for performing one’s duties, said strong infrastructure is essential for carrying out important work effectively. “The new building, dedicated today, will strengthen NIEPA’s capacity to expand its activities. At the same time, there is a growing need to accelerate these efforts,” he added.
Shri Joshi highlighted NIEPA’s role in monitoring the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, identifying implementation challenges and working closely with state governments to address them.
As India advances towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, effective educational planning, evidence-based policymaking and capable educational leadership remain essential to improving the quality, equity and effectiveness of education. NIEPA contributes to these priorities through research, academic programmes, professional training and engagement with educational institutions and government bodies.
