This year to promote sustainable living and educate students about better waste management practices, Cambridge International Assessment Education  today organised an insightful webinar for students around the theme of ‘Planet Positive’ to mark World Environment Day (5 June 2020),

The webinar was hosted by Monisha Narke, CEO and Founder and CEO of RUR Greenlife Pvt Ltd, a socio-environmental NGO, and Nirjhara Rastogi, Corporate Communications Lead at Tetra Pak South Asia.

Mahesh Srivastava, Regional Director, South Asia, Cambridge International said: “It Is important for students to feel motivated and encouraged especially during the ongoing pandemic. As part of Cambridge’s Global Perspectives programme, we endeavour to educate our students and create awareness about global issues which are impacting and changing the world we live in.

The on-going pandemic is a wake-up call for all and has highlighted just how important it is for young people to connect with the natural world and understand the importance of sustainable living. The Cambridge Global Perspectives survey published in March by Cambridge International Assessment Education, also revealed that most Indian students at that time felt that Climate Change is the most important issue the world is facing and they want to learn more about global issues in their classrooms and about the ways to tackle them.

“Through the webinar we aimed to highlight the importance of sustainable living and it was great to see so many students in India taking part,”  added Srivastava
