Prof Maneek Kumar takes over as the Dean- School of Engineering & Technology at BMU

BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero Group initiative, announced the appointment of Prof. Maneek Kumar as the Dean of School of Engineering and Technology.  Prior to this, he has served as Professor & Dean of Students Affairs at Thapar Institute Of Engineering & Technology and was the youngest to hold the post of Professor of Civil Engineering at the Institute, at the age of 34 years. Prof. Kumar is a seasoned academician, researcher and academic administrator with experience of more than 27 years. He has taught courses on Mechanics and Strength of Materials to all disciplines of engineering at the Thapar Institute .

Speaking about the appointment, Professor Maneek Kumar said, “BML Munjal University is fast emerging as a University that has the right balance of innovative teaching, learning and research. Its unparalleled focus on experiential learning environment, new age courses, encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation and cross-disciplinary research has attracted me to be a part of this transformative culture. The University is carving a recognisable niche for itself as an institute of higher learning in the academic fraternity. I look forward to exciting times ahead.”
