In a communiqué the CBSE said that the examination of remaining subject papers for classes X and XII will be held between July 1 and 15. The datasheet for these papers will be announced soon.

After exams were suspended on March 18 in the wake of covid 19 outbreak, CBSE had then on April 1 communicated that it  will hold exams for main 29 left out subjects—11 papers in case of class 12 all over India, and 18 in respect of classes 10 & 12 in riot-hit northeast Delhi.

Subject papers

Whole of India Class 12 : 1.English Elective – N, 2. English Elective -C, 3. English Core, 4.Mathematics, 5. Economics, 6.Biology, 7.Political Science, 8.History, 9.Physics, 10.Accountancy, 11.Chemistry

Class X for northeast Delhi only : 1.Hindi Course A, 2.Hindi Course B, 3.English Comm, 4.English Lng & Lit, 5. Science, 6.Social Science

The latest statement from CBSE is particularly important because Class XII assessment and results in particular is holding up admission process for colleges and other higher education institutions (HEIs) across the board.

Keeping in view the delay, UGC has also released facilitating guidelines for admission process. “Admissions to the UG and PG programmes for the session 2020-21 may be completed by 31.08.2020. If necessity arises, provisional admissions may also be made and relevant documents of qualifying examination may be accepted up to 30.09.2020.  The Academic Session 2020-21 may commence from 01.8.2020 for old students and from 01.09.2020 for fresh students,” say the guidelines.
