Shoolini Univ to offer dual-degree programs in Biotechnology/biosciences & Psychology with Royal Holloway, University of London

Solan-based Shoolini University (esb 2009), India’s top-ranked private university, and Royal Holloway, University of London have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to launch a 1+1 Dual Master’s Degree Program for the 2025/26 academic year. The Memorandum of Agreement singed in Delhi on March, provides for a 1+1 Masters programme in Biotechnology/Biosciences, and Psychology programmes, and allows for subsequent expansion to other fields as well as UG programs.

The 1+1 programme opens avenues for Shoolini University students to join specified postgraduate courses at Royal Holloway, subject to meeting predefined entry requirements. Upon successful completion of the initial part of their curriculum at Shoolini University, students will be granted admission to Royal Holloway, culminating in the attainment of a Royal Holloway, University of London degree, as well as an award from Shoolini University.

Under the Agreement, students will undergo English language proficiency assessments, ensuring they meet Royal Holloway’s academic standards. The first cohort of 30 Postgraduate students will be admitted this year in master’s programs They will spend first year at Shoolini followed by one year at Royal Holloway (‘1+1’).

Professor Atul Khosla, Vice-Chancellor, Shoolini University said the collaboration with Royal Holloway “aims to provide our students with world-class education and research opportunities” and added that it would prove to be “a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to create a global learning environment at Shoolini University.”

The partnership aligns with India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourages global academic collaborations. It will provide postgraduate students with interdisciplinary learning opportunities in Biotechnology/Biosciences and Psychology, with plans to expand into additional fields.
