Sunbeam School, Lahartara from Varanasi emerged as the winners of the Grand Finale of Psych-ED Psychology Quiz at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram on Sep 1.

The participating teams went through multiple rounds of nerve-racking quizzing and Sunbeam School, Lahartara emerged as the Winner of Psych-ED 2025. They were closely followed by Navy Children School, Mumbai who were the 1st Runners Up and Deens Academy, Bengaluru who were the 2nd Runners Up in the National Grand Finale.

More than 900 schools from across 190 cities in India had participated in the 8th Edition of PsychED. 12 teams each had entered the 6 Zonal Finals who competed for a spot in the Grand Finale. The Grand Finale saw 6 teams qualifying, who were the winners from across the 6 Zonal rounds. These included Cambridge Court High School, Jaipur; Bal Bharti School, Ludhiana; Sunbeam School, Varanasi; Navy Children School, Mumbai; Deens Academy, Bengaluru and Vega School, Sector 76, Gurugram.

The students from the winning team, Sunbeam School, Varanasi said, “We are super excited to have won the Psych-ED 2025! It was a fabulous journey and great learning. We truly had a lot of fun. We hope that more schools keep participating every year for the best learning experiences under the supervision of the best minds at Psych-ED!”

Dr. Samir Parikh – Chairman, Fortis National Mental Health Program said “Talking about and making mental health a priority for all has been a long-term vision and mission at Fortis Healthcare. Psych-ED is the first step in this direction, where we are engaging with the youth and creating this unique way of building an understanding pertaining to psychology and mental health. Mental Health is a lesser discussed subject and the educational fraternity should come together to sensitize the younger minds.”

Supported by GD Goenka University, Project CACA, Rupa Publications and Adayu (a Fortis Group company), Psych-ED 2025 continues its mission of making psychology both accessible and exciting for young learners.
