The teacher growth-focused ed-tech platform, Suraasa, has announced All India Teachers’ Scholarship Test (AITST) to support aspiring and in-service teachers in preparing for and clearing the Teacher Eligibility Tests (TETs). With the introduction of the scholarship test, Suraasa aims to prepare the TET aspirants. The AITST has been designed by teacher education experts to help teachers get:

  • TET ready with the country’s biggest online test
  • An All India Rank without going to a test centre
  • Assured Scholarships from 10% up to 100% for every teacher giving the test which they can claim against the TET Prep Course on the Suraasa platform
  • A piece of INR 20 Crores worth of scholarship pool

Rishabh Khanna, Founder of Suraasa said, “ With the TET Prep Course, teachers will get the proper guidance to clear the exam. Suraasa has always focused on the welfare of the teachers. The scholarship test signifies another step towards making upskilling more affordable for them.”

Under the New Education Policy 2020, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has made it compulsory for all teachers to clear TETs. Earlier, clearing TETs was a mandate only for government school teachers of Class I to Class VII.  TETs enable aspiring teachers to gain eligibility for teacher recruitment in government-aided schools such as KVS and NVS as well as in private schools. The test is held at the central level as CTET by CBSE and at the state level as State TET by respective state governments.
