Picture this: a kaleidoscope of laughter, learning, and surprises. The Windmill Festival, known for its commitment to providing a wholesome outdoor family experience yet again relived that promise as it witnessed an overwhelming footfall, with an impressive 6000 families turning out for event. From thrilling rides to engaging workshops, the festival crafted an immersive environment designed to encourage children to explore, learn, and, most importantly, have fun.

It also saw popular actresses Surveen Chawla and Mahhi Vij in attendance, alongside cricketer Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, with her daughter Samaira.

Attendees revelled in a wide range of attractions, including live performances by exceptionally talented artists, interactive storytelling sessions, and hands-on arts and crafts activities. The festival also featured a dedicated zone for adventure seekers, hosting exciting games and challenges designed to stimulate both body and mind.

Over 50 unique workshops spanning diverse avenues of art and craft, science and robotics, sports and games, martial arts & karate training, music and dance, nature and sustainability, language and etiquette as well as a dedicated toddler play zone, kept young minds engaged and entertained. Workshops included storytelling, fluid art, colorful pottery, kickboxing, Jembe sessions, martial arts & karate training, windmill making, dance, Yoga, and much more. Children also had the opportunity to participate in over twenty memorable experiences like a trampoline zone by Bounce, catch the stick, toon parade by Imagica, mini football, as well as a live petting zoo where kids could pet and hold animals like ball python, iguana, macaw parrot, fantail pigeons, rabbit, turkey and sheep, amongst others. One of the most exciting highlights of the festival was the laughter-filled Clown Show presented by the International Clown Festival.

The festival further offered adventure experiences like a human roller coaster, trackless train, air hockey, ferris wheel ride, mini train ride, boating, and more. The spectrum of activities and interactive experiences was curated to tap into the children’s creative side as well as their logical minds, aiming to engage and enhance various life skills, nurture learning and growth, and spark diverse interests.

Completing this whirlwind edutainment experience were 50+ flea and food stalls, providing parents and kids with an array of options to indulge in. Food enthusiasts were treated to a delectable culinary experience, with carefully curated vendors that included Kha, Foodland, Stree Cafe, Urban Street Cafe, High on tea, Rina’s signature dessert, Popcorn magic masala, B Burger, Brownie cottage, The Ranch, Bombay Sandwich, The owen story, Momos club, and Anna rasoi, ensuring there was something to satisfy every palate.

The Windmill Festival 2024 drew the curtains after an incredible two-day extravaganza at the Jio World Garden in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on 27th and 28th January, 2024. The Windmill Festival 2024 succeeded in creating a magical atmosphere where families could bond, children could learn, and everyone could unwind amidst the beautiful setting of Jio World Garden.
