TOEFL (part of the ETS), has launched its global TOEFL Dance Stitch Competition, inviting students to express their study-abroad aspirations through a social-first creative challenge. The competition is open to students and prospective TOEFL test takers exploring international education opportunities. Entries must be submitted via public social media profiles, in line with platform guidelines and applicable regional terms, with the deadline set for 15 April 2026. Winners will be announced at the end of April.

The initiative, currently live on TOEFL’s official Instagram handle, encourages participants to engage with a central choreography and reinterpret it in their own style on Instagram. Designed to make the preparation journey more engaging and less stressful, the campaign brings together creativity, self-expression, and aspiration—meeting students where they are most active today. By tapping into formats like dance and short-form video—already widely used by Gen Z to express identity and aspirations—the initiative meets students in a space that feels both familiar and engaging.

Participants can enter the challenge by:

  • Following TOEFL’s official Instagram handle
  • Remixing the official Dance Stitch video
  • Performing the core choreography while adding their own unique style
  • Posting their entry using the campaign hashtags #DanceWithTOEFL and #YouSpeakWorld

Top entries stand a chance to win one of five TOEFL tuition awards of up to USD 5,000, paid directly towards their educational institution.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Omar Chihane, Global General Manager – TOEFL, ETS said, “Today’s students are navigating a far more dynamic and demanding global education landscape, where preparation is not just about academic readiness, but also confidence, clarity, and mindset. As a priority market for ETS, it is important for us to engage students in ways that feel relevant, intuitive, and less overwhelming. The TOEFL Dance Stitch Competition is an extension of this approach—bringing together creativity and purpose, while making the journey towards global education more engaging and accessible.”

Students across India can participate in the TOEFL Dance Stitch Challenge by engaging with the official content on TOEFL’s global social media account and sharing their interpretations on Instagram. The initiative invites students to be part of a growing global community that is redefining how study-abroad journeys are explored, experienced, and expressed.
