Vivekanand Education Society College of Architecture (VESCOA), recently successfully hosted the Multidisciplinary International Conference on Introspection of Sustainable Development Goals (ICISDG) 2025, bringing together experts and changemakers to discuss and explore practical solutions for sustainable development.

The conference provided a platform for professionals from 11 countries to share innovative ideas and build partnerships to tackle global challenges. With over 1,500 students and professors joining through remote centers, the event emphasized its broad reach and meaningful impact.

Held at Suzlon Earth, Pune, the two-day conference convened students, architects, engineers, planners, designers, economists, and researchers from across the globe. A significant highlight was the signing of an international Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Republic of Madagascar, demonstrating a shared commitment to achieving the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The conference was supported by esteemed organizations, including the Council of Architecture, Ministry of Education, Government of India, Rotary Isarag South Asia, Aga Khan Foundation, Mumbai, and SD Patil College of Architects, Pune, among others. Mentored by Architect Prashant Deshmukh, Convenor, and guided by experts such as Khushwinder Singh, IAS officer Mr. Shekhar Gailwad, Dr. Peter Lindegren (Professor Department of International Economics, Government and Business (EGB) Copenhagen Business School, Denmark) and Architect Abhay Purohit, the event featured thought-provoking workshops, panel discussions, and technical sessions.

A standout moment of the conference was the focus on student innovation. Kumari Purvi Dasari’s AI-powered sustainability project was selected for incubation, reinforcing ICISDG’s mission to empower the next generation of changemakers.

Reflecting on the event’s success, Dr. Prof. Anand Achari, Principal of VESCOA, remarked, “VESCOA is proud to lead this collective journey toward sustainability. ICISDG 2025 is just the beginning, as we work together to transform ideas and partnerships into impactful global actions.”
