
About 100 educators nationwide xxceptional teachers who have made significant contributions to curricular innovation, student development, and teaching excellence, were recognized for their contributions to education at Sharda University’s sixth edition of the Transformational Teacher Award celebration held by Sharda University on Apr 7. These teachers were nominated by students from all over India for positively influencing their academic or personal lives. The awards in its 6th edition were incepted in 2015.
The event brought together students, educators, academic leaders, and dignitaries, was graced by JK Yadav, Director of CBSE, and DIOs Dharmveer Singh, Rajeev Nayan, and Vijay Prasad Sharda University Chancellor, P.K. Gupta, and the Admission Director, Dr. Rajeev Gupta were also present. The event was among others was attended by Dr. Parmanand, Pro Chancellor, Sharda University; Dr. Nirupama Gupta, Dean; Dr. Ajit Kumar, Director PR.
Senior Teacher from Greater Valley School Dr. Kavita Chauhan on receiving the award said “While I am deeply grateful, I must acknowledge that this recognition is not just mine — it belongs to the entire school community. First, a heartfelt thank you to our school leadership for their unwavering support and to my colleagues for their continuous dedication. Together, we create an environment where students can truly thrive. But most importantly, I want to thank our students. Your curiosity, hard work, and enthusiasm are the reasons we strive to be better every day. This award is a reflection of your efforts, and I am proud to be part of your journey.”
Sharing his views, JK Yadav, Director, CBSE emphasized the critical role educators play in inspiring pupils, assisting them in developing into better people, and paving the way for better futures. “We often talk about education that transforms people—instruction that radically changes how students perceive themselves and others, as well as how they interact with and contribute to the wider world. This is how important role of teachers is. ”
PK Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University congratulating the awardees said: “Some teachers make such a lasting impression on their students that they are never forgotten. Every board needs to set up a feedback portal where students may voice their thoughts. Each student has a special gift, and it is the teacher who to identiies it and help the student succeed in it.”
