CRY Invites Applications for Its 10th National Child Rights Research Fellowship Programme

CRY – Child Rights and You, a leading Indian non-profit working to ensure lasting change in children’s lives, invites applications from research fellows exploring various dimensions of child rights, within the broad understanding of justice for children. Up to five fellowships ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh will be awarded.

The 10th edition of the year-long fellowship programme called NCRRF (National Child Rights Research Fellowship) aims at providing an opportunity for independent researchers to work on various issues, including evidence on relationships between ethnicity, inequality and conflict as witnessed or experienced by children and exploration of relationships a child has with other children, community, state and family.

The last date for submitting the application is 30thSeptember, 2018 and the names of selected researchers will be announced on CRY website in November 2018.

During the course of the year, the researchers can develop and interpret themes on the basis of their experiences and ideas. Research findings will be made available to activists, academicians, development practitioners and general public.

The candidates should be more than 18 years of age and must be Indian citizens. They can choose any Indian language, including English for their research. The essential requirements for the application include a three-page proposal, which briefly explains the topic of study, objectives and outlines the research question within a framework, proposed methodology, time lines, a reading list of related literature / existing studies on the subject and a detailed budget.

The participants also need to provide an updated two-page CV, sample of published or unpublished paper and details of references.
