France-based Excelia Business School has unveiled its ambitious 2025–2030 strategic roadmap titled “Business Education for our Futures”, aimed at consolidating its position as a global leader in business education while significantly enhancing its societal and international impact. A key highlight of the plan is deepening engagement with India, recognising the country’s growing economic influence, demand for high-quality business education, and leadership in digital innovation and sustainability.

The new roadmap builds on the school’s recent accomplishments, including the renewal of its prestigious triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA), and continued rise in global rankings—currently ranked 8th in France and 30th worldwide for its Master in Management programme by the Financial Times 2024.

Strengthening India Ties

India has been identified as a strategic priority in Excelia’s internationalisation agenda. The school aims to bolster academic partnerships with Indian institutions, attract more Indian students and professionals to its French campuses, and connect with alumni and corporate leaders across India. “India is not just a growing market—it’s a vital partner in our mission to shape responsible global leaders,” the school stated.

Three Core Pillars of the Strategic Plan

Excelia’s new plan is structured around three key objectives designed to prepare students for a rapidly evolving global landscape:

  1. Deploying Future-Focused Education for Life-long Employability

The school is investing in innovative, interdisciplinary pedagogy that merges business with subjects like law, history, and geopolitics. New digital learning models aim to enhance student autonomy, while executive education offerings—including a new Executive MBA and MScs in Cybersecurity & Performance and Sustainable Finance—will target professionals seeking to upskill for the future.

  1. Becoming a Global Sustainability Benchmark

With a sharpened focus on sustainability and change, Excelia will lead impactful research, real-world student projects, and industry collaborations. The launch of a sustainability challenge will engage students with companies and local authorities to address live ecological and societal issues. A new Chair in Sustainability and expanded public-interest research will further solidify its thought leadership.

  1. Training for the World

Excelia is expanding globally through new dual-degree offerings, such as a DBA programme in China and executive education in Morocco. The school plans to grow its global network to 250 academic partners, with 10% being deep strategic alliances involving research, teaching, and exchanges. Initiatives like CLUB 100 – Alumni from the Planet, which includes strong Indian representation, will build a global community of changemakers.

Reimagining Education for a Complex Future

The roadmap includes bold initiatives such as:

  • AIcité – a six-week, AI-driven programme pairing students with NGOs and public bodies to address real-world challenges ethically and creatively.
  • Excelia Play – a gamified, neuroscience-based learning system designed to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Adaptive Skills Integration – embedding soft skills into the curriculum to equip future leaders with tools to navigate economic, ecological, and technological transitions.

Excelia’s overarching goal is to redefine business education for an age of complex, multifaceted intelligence, with India poised to play a pivotal role in this global transformation.
