Govindan Talian Veedu, currently the Regional Director of Cambridge University Press India for English and Education in theASEAN region and North East Asia will replace Ratnesh Jha as the Managing Director following Jha’s resignation early this month. According to a statement issued by the publishing company, Govindan has a deep knowledge of the South Asia market from previous roles in the Press’s India operations, and is well-placed to lead Cambridge’s business in the region. Ratnesh will work with Govindan on the hand over, with Govindan formally taking up his new role at the end of January 2020 when Ratnesh leaves.
