Heartfulness International School (HIS), earlier called Lalaji Memorial Omega International School, officially inaugurated a new branch in Tiruvallur last week. The inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the school’s premises on Kolundhalur Road, Tiruvallur-Tiruttani Highway. A highlight of the launch was a Heartfulness meditation session, allowing guests to experience the core values that Heartfulness International School aims to imbibe in its students.

Shri Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji), President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission & Guide of the Heartfulness Institute, served as the Chief Guest. Rev. Daaji addressed the gathering, sharing his vision for the school and the importance of heart-based education. Other dignitaries included members of the management and Principals of the parent body Heartfulness International School, Omega Branch (formerly Lalaji Memorial Omega International School). The school is spread over 140 acres. With state-of-the-art facilities including tech-enabled classrooms, a Sportz village, play stations, literacy and numeracy centres, Yoga, music and storytelling spaces, the school provides ample opportunities for students’ holistic development and well-being. HIS Tiruvallur follows a blend of Waldorf, Reggio, Emilia and traditional learning styles and focuses on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy as prescribed by the NEP. The school will follow the CBSE curriculum in the Primary in the upcoming years. As the students go to higher grades they will also be taught Heartfulness meditation for a balanced approach to life.

The Tiruvallur branch of Heartfulness International School caters to playschool and kindergarten students currently. Admissions are open for academic year 2025-2026. Additional grades will be added in progressive years.
